Product Description
The ADXL345 is a small, thin, ultra-low power 3-axis accelerometer with high-resolution measurement capabilities up to ±16g. This module converts acceleration into a 13-bit digital signal accessible via I2C or SPI interfaces. It is specifically designed to measure both dynamic acceleration resulting from motion or shock and static acceleration, such as gravity, which allows it to function as a high-accuracy tilt sensor. With built-in specialized sensing functions like tap/double-tap detection, activity/inactivity monitoring, and free-fall detection, the ADXL345 is the preferred choice for drone stabilization, industrial vibration monitoring, and mobile device orientation.
Key Features
Variable Sensitivity Ranges: User-selectable measurement ranges of ±2g, ±4g, ±8g, and ±16g for diverse application needs.
High Resolution: 13-bit resolution at all g-ranges maintains a consistent 4 mg/LSB sensitivity.
Intelligent Sensing: Integrated hardware detection for single tap, double tap, activity, inactivity, and free-fall events.
Ultra-Low Power: Draws as little as 40 µA in measurement mode and 0.1 µA in standby, making it ideal for battery-operated IoT.
Dual Communication: Supports both I2C and 4-wire/3-wire SPI protocols for universal microcontroller compatibility.
