It simplifies inventory by replacing dedicated remotes for four major brands—Videocon, Sansui, Akai, and BPL—with a single device. Known in the market as the "BVSA Master Remote," it features a robust build and a specialized chipset pre-programmed with the IR codes for these specific manufacturers. It is a perfect choice for repair shops and retail stores looking to provide a reliable replacement for legacy TV sets.

Prototyping & Installation Tip Because this is a Master Remote, it usually works automatically. However, for some sub-models, you may need to "tell" the remote which brand it is controlling.

  1. Try Direct: Point and press the Power button.

Brand Selection: On many versions of this "BVSA" remote, if it doesn't work immediately, you can hold down a specific button (often a numeric key or a dedicated brand button) for 5 seconds to switch the internal code set to match the target TV brand. Always use high-quality Alkaline batteries, as CRT remotes sometimes require a slightly stronger IR pulse than modern LED remotes.
