Product Description
The BFD-1000 is a high-performance, all-in-one sensor array designed specifically for advanced line-following robots and complex obstacle avoidance tasks. This module features five high-sensitivity infrared (IR) tracking channels arranged in a wide-array format, allowing for superior precision when navigating sharp turns or tracking complex paths. In addition to the tracking channels, it includes a front-facing infrared bump sensor and a physical tactile switch for comprehensive environmental feedback. The digital TTL outputs interface directly with microcontrollers like Arduino, STM32, and Raspberry Pi, providing real-time data on path alignment without the need for complex analog processing.
Key Features
5-Channel Array: Five strategically placed IR sensors ensure smooth and reliable line tracking even on non-linear or zig-zag paths.
Integrated Obstacle Detection: Features a dedicated front IR sensor and a mechanical collision switch for enhanced safety during autonomous navigation.
On-board Sensitivity Tuning: Equipped with high-precision potentiometers to calibrate each sensor for varying floor colors and ambient lighting.
Visual Feedback LEDs: Each channel has a corresponding status LED that illuminates upon detecting a dark line, simplifying debugging and calibration.
Optimized for Logic: Operates on a wide voltage range (3V to 5.5V), making it compatible with both 3.3V and 5V logic families.
