• Calculating Gear Ratios: If you drive this 38-tooth gear with a 10-tooth pinion gear, you achieve a 3.8:1 reduction. This means your output speed will be 3.8 times slower, but your output torque (lifting power) will be roughly 3.8 times stronger.

• Lubrication: To reduce friction and noise, apply a tiny amount of White Lithium Grease or silicone-based lubricant to the teeth. Avoid petroleum-based oils as they can degrade certain types of plastic over time.

• Axle Alignment: Ensure the axles of meshing gears are perfectly parallel. If the gears are even slightly tilted, the teeth will wear unevenly and the mechanism may "jam" under load.
