  • Thermal Management is Mandatory: These DOB plates generate significant heat. You must mount the PCB onto a proper aluminum heat sink or inside a bulb’s metallic housing using Thermal Paste or a Thermal Pad. Operating without a heat sink will cause the LEDs to fail within minutes.

  • Safety First: This PCB operates on 220V AC. Always ensure the power is disconnected before handling. Use insulated wires and ensure no exposed solder joints touch the metallic housing.

  • Flicker-Free Performance: While DOBs are convenient, they are sensitive to high voltage surges. Using an external MOV (Metal Oxide Varistor) in parallel can provide an extra layer of protection for your DIY lighting project.

  • Creative Uses: These are excellent for creating high-power "Darkroom" safe-lights, festive lanterns, or large-scale red status indicators for industrial machinery.
