Product Description The iMAX B3 AC is a specialized, entry-level balance charger designed specifically for 2S (7.4V) and 3S (11.1V) Lithium Polymer batteries. Unlike standard DC chargers, the B3 features an integrated AC power supply, allowing it to plug directly into a wall outlet without external adapters. It utilizes independent balance ports for each cell, ensuring that every individual cell within the battery pack is charged precisely to 4.2V. This precision balancing is critical for maintaining battery health, preventing cell swelling, and maximizing the performance of your RC models and robotic systems.

  • The Single-Pack Rule: Never attempt to charge a 2S and a 3S battery simultaneously. While there are two ports, the internal logic is designed to manage only one battery pack per charging session.

  • Balance Lead Only: This charger uses only the white JST-XH balance lead for charging. You do not need to connect the main power leads (XT60, Deans, T-connector). If your battery lacks a balance lead, it cannot be used with the B3.

  • LED Troubleshooting: If one LED stays Red while the others turn Green, it indicates a "Cell Imbalance." This usually means one cell in your pack is damaged or has dropped below the safe voltage threshold (typically $<3.0\text{V}$).

  • Safety First: Li-Po batteries are volatile. Always charge them in a Li-Po Safe Charging Bag or on a non-flammable surface. Never leave the charging process unattended, and disconnect the battery as soon as all LEDs turn Green.
