Speed vs. Voltage: CRITICAL: Note that the RPM scales almost linearly with voltage. At 5V, the motor will be quiet and slow; at 12V, it will reach maximum speed but generate more heat. If you need precise speed control, use a PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) motor controller rather than just lowering the voltage.
Shaft Mounting: The 2.0mm shaft is a standard press-fit size. When attaching a gear or propeller, support the back of the motor shaft against a solid surface while pressing the component onto the front. This prevents the internal delicate motor brushes from being pushed out of alignment.
