Product Description

The LVDS Switch Board solves the common "No Display" or "Garbled Image" problem encountered when mixing different TV brands' internal components. The board features precisely routed differential traces to maintain signal integrity for high-speed clock and data pairs (TX0 through TX3). It correctly aligns the VCC (Power) and GND pins, which are often mirrored between Samsung and LG standards. By using this intermediate board, technicians can avoid risky manual "wire-cutting" and "jumping," ensuring a clean, professional, and long-lasting repair.

Prototyping and Engineering Tips from Robogears

Identify the VCC Side: Before connecting, use a multimeter to find the VCC (Power) pins on your motherboard's LVDS output. Samsung usually has VCC on the left, while LG often has it on the right. Ensure the switch board is oriented so the power pins align correctly; crossing VCC and GND will instantly destroy the T-CON board.
FFC Cable Length: Keep your LVDS cables as short as possible. Because these are high-frequency signals, adding too much length via the switch board and extra cables can introduce "sparkling" pixels or color distortion.
The "Mirror" Mode: If the image appears upside down or with distorted colors (Jeida vs. VESA format) after installation, this is usually a software setting in the TV's Service Menu, not a fault of the switch board. Look for "LVDS Format" or "Mirror Mode" in the hidden factory settings.
Secure Mounting: Since TV cabinets vibrate due to the internal speakers, always secure the switch board to the chassis using non-conductive foam tape to prevent the FFC cables from wiggling loose over time.
