Product Description

The 3S 10A BMS acts as the "brain" of your battery pack. It continuously monitors the individual voltage of each of the three cells in the series. If any cell exceeds the safe upper limit (overcharge) or falls below the safe lower limit (over-discharge), the module instantly cuts the connection to prevent fire hazards or permanent cell degradation. This specific board is compact and features large soldering pads, making it easy to integrate into tight spaces like massager batteries or solar street lamp systems.

Prototyping and Engineering Tips from Robogears

Strict Wiring Order: You must wire the cells in a specific sequence to avoid damaging the module. Connect in this order: 0V (B-) → 3.7V (B1) → 7.4V (B2) → 11.1V (B+). Do not intentionally short-circuit the pads.
Cell Matching: Before building your pack, ensure all three batteries are at the same voltage level. If one cell is significantly weaker or at a different charge level, the BMS will cut power prematurely to protect that specific cell, reducing the overall capacity of your pack.
The "Wake-up" Charge: Many BMS modules remain in a "sleep" state after the batteries are first connected. If you see 0V at the P+/P- terminals, connect a 12.6V charger for a few seconds to "wake up" the protection IC and activate the output.
Motor Loads: This module is not suitable for high-startup-current devices like 775-size motors or heavy-duty hand drills, as the initial current surge will likely trigger the 10A overcurrent protection.
