  • Sensor Placement: LPG and Propane are heavier than air. For the most effective leak detection, mount the MQ-6 near the floor or close to the gas source, rather than near the ceiling.

  • Heating Element: It is normal for the sensor to become warm during operation. The internal heater is necessary to facilitate the chemical reaction required for gas detection.

  • Threshold Setting: To set the digital trigger, use a small amount of gas (e.g., from an unlit lighter) near the sensor and turn the potentiometer until the green LED just triggers.
