Product Description & Technical Details
Product Description
The 5V Bluetooth Audio Receiver Module is a compact, high-performance decoding board designed to add wireless connectivity to any audio system. Featuring a "Big IC" design (typically based on the AC69xx series), this module offers superior stability and lower latency compared to smaller, unbranded alternatives. It receives digital audio signals via Bluetooth and converts them into a high-quality analog stereo output. At Robogears, we recommend this module for building DIY Bluetooth speakers, upgrading old car stereo systems, or creating wireless headphone amplifiers. Its SMD-friendly layout allows for low-profile integration into custom PCB designs.
Key Highlights
Lossless Audio Decoding: Supports high-quality audio formats, ensuring that your wireless music sounds as clear as a wired connection.
Compact SMD Design: The flat bottom and edge pads make it perfect for surface mounting on a mainboard or soldering directly to wires in tight enclosures.
Automatic Reconnection: Once paired, the module automatically reconnects to the last known device upon power-up, providing a seamless user experience.
Wide Input Power: Can be powered via a 5V regulated supply or a 3.7V Lithium-polymer battery, making it highly versatile for both portable and stationary projects.
Onboard LED Indicator: Features a status LED that blinks during pairing and stays solid once a connection is established, simplifying troubleshooting.

Installation Tip from Robogears
This is a Line-Level receiver, meaning it provides a signal suitable for an amplifier or headphones. You cannot connect speakers directly to this module; it must be connected to an audio amplifier board (like the PAM8403 or TPA3116). To minimize noise and interference (humming), use short, shielded wires for the audio output (Left, Right, and Ground). If you experience a high-pitched whine when using a shared power supply with an amplifier, we recommend adding a 100uF capacitor across the VCC and GND pins of this module to filter out power noise.
Note: This is a Bluetooth Receiver module ONLY. It does not include an onboard amplifier or speakers. Product images are for illustration purposes only.
