• Polarity is Critical: CRITICAL: This is a polarized component. The Longer Lead is Positive (+) and the shorter lead, marked with a stripe on the body, is Negative (-). Reversing the polarity can cause the capacitor to overheat, leak, or burst.

• Voltage Safety Margin: Always choose a capacitor with a voltage rating at least 20-30% higher than your circuit's operating voltage. Using this 63V capacitor in a 12V or 24V system is excellent practice for high-reliability designs.

• The "Filtering" Rule: For DC power rail filtering, place this capacitor as close to the power input of your IC or sensor as possible. While 1µF is small, it is excellent for filtering out medium-frequency noise that larger capacitors might miss.

• Soldering Caution: Avoid applying heat to the leads for more than 3 seconds. Excessive heat can dry out the internal electrolyte, significantly reducing the component's lifespan and increasing its ESR (Equivalent Series Resistance).

• Capacitance Decay: Electrolytic capacitors have a shelf life. If you are using these in a design that must last 10+ years, ensure they are kept away from high-heat sources like voltage regulators or power transistors, as heat accelerates the drying of the electrolyte.
