• Voltage Overhead Rule: To maximize the lifespan of your circuit, we recommend the "30% Safety Rule." For a 48V rail, a 63V capacitor is the minimum safe choice. For 24V systems, this 63V rating is ideal as it will operate under low stress and last significantly longer than a 35V equivalent.

• Polarity Warning: CRITICAL: Electrolytic capacitors are polarized components. Ensure the negative stripe (Cathode) is connected to the Ground (GND) or the point of lower potential. Reverse installation can cause the capacitor to overheat and fail, potentially damaging surrounding components.

• ESR Considerations: While excellent for general-purpose filtering, electrolytic capacitors have higher ESR (Equivalent Series Resistance) than Ceramic or Tantalum types. For high-frequency noise suppression, pair this 33uF capacitor with a parallel 0.1uF Ceramic Capacitor to handle both bulk energy storage and high-frequency ripples.

• Lead Handling: Avoid bending the leads repeatedly at the base of the aluminum can. This can compromise the rubber seal at the bottom, leading to electrolyte leakage and premature component failure.

• Soldering Temperature: When hand-soldering, do not apply the iron to the leads for more than 3 seconds. Excessive heat transfer through the leads can boil the internal electrolyte, significantly reducing the capacitor's effective life.
