• Signal Directionality: CRITICAL: While most 5m cables are passive and bi-directional, always test the cable with your specific hardware before routing it through walls or ceilings. Some high-end laptops have lower power output on their HDMI ports and may struggle to push a 4K signal through a 5-meter copper wire without an active booster.

• The "Weight" Factor: A 5-meter cable is significantly heavier than standard leads. If the cable hangs vertically from a TV port, the weight can eventually damage the TV's internal HDMI socket. Use Cable Clips or Velcro ties to secure the cable to the mounting bracket, taking the strain off the connector.
